Friend of Oscar Wilde, wrote a number of books in which he defended Wilde's reputation, two in particular regarding Harris' 'lies': Bernard Shaw, Frank Harris and Oscar Wilde and Oscar Wilde Twice Defended from AndrÃƒÂ© Gide's Wicked Lies and Frank Harris's Cruel Libels. According to Sherard, Wilde was not guilty of homosexual practices.
