After some bogus user registrations, I have introduced a measure which will defeat most automated registration attempts. The immediate effect is that users won't be able to enter a website or signature field on their profile until after they have posted a few times.

In response to spammers using the board, I have put some changes in place: 1) I have disallowed guest postings. I did so reluctantly because I'd prefer it if anyone could comment freely without needing to register but this facility was being abused.

The Odd Books forums can now be accessed as an RSS news feed, so you can read the latest postings about Frank Harris or Amanda Ros alongside sports headlines from CNN, if you so wish.
