How did you first come across AMR?

Submitted by jonojono on
Just wondering how people out there first came across Amanda McKittrick Ros? I read a few excerpts in Stephen Pile's book Heroic Failures (or perhaps it was the sequel, More Heroic Failures) and was highly intrigued, but had little information until coming across this site 2 or 3 (4?) years ago. Now I'm hooked.

I was introduced to Amanda by a friend of mine who generously gave me his copies of Irene Iddesleigh (a tatty Nonesuch edition), Thine in Storm and Calm, and O Rare Amanda.

When I researched her online there was nothing. I'd already started the Frank Harris area of my site so it seemed like the natural thing to do to add a section for Amanda.
